Memorial garden silver key problem

Has anyone been unable to get the silver key at the statue after the ghost pirate quest in oakvale memorial garden. I have finished the quest but have no option to dig anywhere by the statue. Anyone with any solutions please help.

nowhere from gears 2. and the memorial gardens one as well. from part 1 the swamp/marsh one that was DLC.

Anyone know how to get the "garden key"???

 

I couldn't dig there before the quest. I had to go to inventory and manually assign the spade to a slot, then hold RB or RT (can't remember which) and then dig without being prompted.

 

No such luck so far I have manually dug all around the statue and have yet to find it where about do you need to stand?

 

I'm 90% sure I didn't get it, but it was in my inventory, do a count up

 

I've managed to get it, however I can't finish the ghost pirate quest since the wife has vanished off the map. The Graveyard should hav a "Golden Carrot", "silver Key" and a weapon with some loot.

 

If you stand on the way in front of the statue it is to the left of the socket. Go to this point and dig. If you are at the right place, the spade will show up in the d-pad menu automatically (but need to be assigned to the pad before, of course).

 

I had trouble finding it as well, but Lippi62 is correct. I ended up finding a video on youtube of the mission and that helped me find the dig spot.
