Memorial Day

Hi.

I don't know this day. In France we have :

6 June : Anniversary of D-Day in Normandie.

8 May : Commemoration of the capitulation of WWII

14 July : Commemoration which celebrated taking of La Bastille in 14 July 1790

11 November : Commemoration of the armistice for the end of first WW.

My grand father had participated in the battle of Monte Cassino, and Operation Husky during the WWII .

I have a lot of respect for these men and women !

And a game in honor for this heroes is Brothers In Arms : Earned in Blood for me.

 

November 11 is Canada's Remembrance Day. 1 minute of silence at 11:00am. We also wear poppy's on our shirts/jackets to show respect for the fallen. Our "Victory Day" or May long weekend is nothing like this.

For me personally, playing a video game in respect of the fallen doesn't seem right. There can be no comparison from real life to gaming, but that is my opinion.

 

I think the best way to give respect is to appreciate their contribution to the country they serve, because it's the ultimate sacrifice. It's also important to think about the families out there that have had to endure the loss of their loved ones. I'm
thankful every day that I have the freedoms I have and that I'm not in some labor camp in North Korea.

With so many relatives in the armed services, why didn't you follow their footsteps?

 

My biological grandfather on my mother side server army. My dad server a war that had no repected. In current war. I have no repect in the way it was handle. If I had may way. First I tight up our airways and boarders. And then get every nation to join us
to take down those turkeys that attack us. I even allowed islam nation de fend there faith from being used for evil. And get rid home growning groups like the KKK and SKINHEADS. I had some unlkes on my dad side that served. And some cousin my dad side.
