If i keep gamepass, do i still get charged for gold? Do i have to cancel gold or else get charged for both?

Edit. Thank you all so much! We tried the ultimate game pass and i wanted to make sure i wouldn't get charged for both and y'all answered like champions! Thanks again!!

Thanks for posting on the Xbox forums. We understand that you're interested in learning if you will still be charged for Xbox Live Gold after getting Xbox Game Pass. Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Live Gold are two separate subscriptions that must be charged
separately. However, both subscriptions are combined along with Xbox Game Pass for PC in the

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription. It's a cheaper option than paying for both Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Live Gold, and it gives you access to all three subscriptions. We hope this information helps

Adding a gold subscription to your account will automatically upgrade it.

Hi Jpzivot,

Your Xbox Live Gold subscription and Xbox Game Pass are bundled together. If you are paying for Game Pass then Gold comes included. This doesn't work the other way around. Hope this helps.

getting gamepass ultimate is the better option.

if you decide you would like to cancel your gold membership you can do here -> Manage Subscriptions

If your gamepass is the ultimate you don't need it because they are two services in one, if it is the common one you need to renew Gold.
