membership error

my dad bought a 3 month live code goes and redeems it gets a service error that says please try again later so we do it happens again and again then a month later i try it on my account and it did it again so i contacted support they say it has been redeemed
and it was not redeemed by my account nor my dads account so i said how is this possible the code was in are safe so theres no way anyone can redeem it exept me and my dad so i want this to be solved and my dad or i to be able to get a live renewed with out
going and buying a new card

How to Renew your Xbox LIVE Gold Membership

Overview of Xbox LIVE Renewal

When your current Xbox LIVE Gold Membership is about to run out, you will get a renewal message on your screen.

• Month-to-month membership- Notification comes 15 days in advance
• 3 or 12 month membership- Notification comes 30 days in advance

Xbox LIVE membership can be renewed using a credit card, a debit card, or a Prepaid Gold Membership Card.

If your automatic membership renewal (auto renewal) is set to off, you can purchase a new subscription or use a prepaid membership card to renew your Xbox LIVE Gold Membership.

Renew with a payment option by purchasing a new membership:

Steps to Follow

1) Use your Xbox LIVE gamertag to sign in.

2) Under Settings, select Account.

3) Proceed to Your Memberships, and select the membership that you currently have (for example Xbox LIVE Gold)

4) Select Modify Membership and you will be presented with a list of renewal options. If you are on an Xbox LIVE Free Membership, you can choose to upgrade to Gold Membership.

5) Select a membership option, then Confirm Purchase.

Once you have confirmed your purchase, the following will happen:

• The payment option you are using will be charged immediately.
• The time subscription plan you have just purchased will be added to your remaining subscription time.
• Your Xbox LIVE Gold Membership will be activated and auto renewal turned on.

Take note:

If you use a credit card as your payment option, you cannot remove it on file until your current membership expires.

There is a procedure you can follow to add or change your Xbox LIVE payment option.

Renew with a prepaid membership card

It is possible to renew your Xbox LIVE membership using a Prepaid Microsoft Gold Membership Card. This card is available at retail locations.

If you choose to redeem a prepaid Xbox LIVE membership code, you will be added time to your existing Xbox LIVE membership, while your renewal settings will remain unchanged.

How to turn on auto renewal (for existing membership):

If you are already on Xbox LIVE Gold of Family Pack membership and you want to turn on auto renewal without purchasing new membership, you should contact Xbox Support.

How to Troubleshoot Xbox LIVE renewal:

If there are issues with your Xbox LIVE account, you might receive the following messages. The solutions are provided below:

• Error: Your credit card has been declined several times by our billing service.

This means that your credit card has expired, or the information on it has been changed. To solve this problem, there is a procedure you can follow to change payment option for Xbox LIVE membership.

• Error: 8015d080

In case you receive this error message, you need to contact Xbox Support.

 

Membership error

I just got unbanned an hour ago. before I was banned I had a year of live. now its gone. can microsft just get rid off my live because I was banned?

 

Only phone support can deal with problems like this.

I would call them back and ask for the exact date and time it was redeemed,maybe it was before you bought it.

They may also be able to tell you to which account its linked, not sure if they can or not but its worth asking.

If all else fails return it to the store you bought it from.

I've been having this exact same issue. I put in the code. It recognizes that it's a prepaid 3 month live code. I hit "confirm" to redeem the code, and it says "sorry, try again later". Tried from my console and xbox.com. It was happening all weekend. I
was planning on contacting customer support today, but I was checking my email this morning and noticed I got an email that said "confirmation of renewal" So I powered up my X1 and checked, sure enough, my Live has been extended by 3 months. Not sure what
was going on there, but it was pretty annoying.

 

Huh, now that is odd. I would understand if it was isolated but to say its happened to more than one it must be glitch somewhere :/ so long as it credits you the time I guess that's all that matters but still, I can see why it would be annoying.

 

Same thing happened to me the last 2 times I have tried adding 1 month codes. I end up getting an email right after saying my membership has been renewed.

 

I will have a poke around and see if I can find something out. Is this on 360/One/Site? Can we confirm that its happened to one or more of you for all 3?

 

Well, I can confirm it happened to me on my Xbox one and Xbox.com.

i bought year of live. it hasnot benn close to 12 months. (maybe 4-5). yet my xbox tells me my membership ended. nd i didnt even get an email telling me it ended. whats going on?

 

You are still showing as gold here wRX.

You need to call phone support for any billing issues if the problem continues.
