Member to XBL for 10 years. Bought a PS4 (Bad Choice)

From the title you must think I am here going to tell you
PS4 is way better, you need to buy it. NOPE it isn't better.

I bought a PS4 on January 13th because someone showed me the possibility to remote play my PS Vita (had from launch ) via the internet/locally. I though it would be cool to play while on the go. I live in Switzerland and we are now getting fast internet
everywhere. In Switzerland all phone plans are unlimited (Free calls and text), you then just pay for speeds.

But I can't get it to work over the internet. You may think I am just a noob and doesn't know what I am doing, but I am a Junior Network Manager. So I know how networks work. I am not going to bored you with the technical side on the xbox forum but here
is a link and you can see all the testing I have done, and still nothing.

I recommend you check my link so you can see how much time and testing I have put in place already.

Remote Play with PS Vita to PS4 (Problem over internet outsite
network)

Here are my reasons for anyone from Xbox and Xbox Live or Xbox 360 owners or Xbox one owners not to buy a PS4:

• Playing online you need to pay (Before PS4 , PS3 online was free )
• PS Vita you can only have 1 account active on the system (1 user)
• Took me 30 mins to download GTA 5 (fine) but took me 1h30mins to install on PS4, then I did a test, PS4 takes 2 mins longer to load
  
• Their support service is a Joke, as I was chatting with one of the support guys , he said "sorry your account is in another country here is the link and phone and e-mail " then he killed the chat, didn't even let me finish my last question to him.
  
• Mic systems sucks, as it sounds like the xbox 360 but worst. I had a Tritton warhead 7.1 and that better then whats on the PS4.
  
• The controllers is just weird, people say its the best, but when playing GTA I fly and shot like a boss on the xbox, on the PS4 I shot more at the ground or crash into things I didn't mean to. Making me a noob , one guy thought I was high. Oh great
  
• Apps , what apps . They have like 7 apps in their store , the only ones I would use is Netflix, plex and youtube. Oh wait thats on xbox.
  
• Playing GTA online yesterday I heard nothing but 6-15 years old, screaming and singing.
  
• The message system is poor on the PS system (I think).
• rechargeable controller but I know in a years time they will dead and looks like no easy way to change . (Like a iphone)
  
• comes with a cheap crap headset (the xbox one headset that came with looks and feels 5x better then the PS4 one)
  
• I have seen more lag on the PS4 servers then I have played this whole week of xbox . I had one person on the PS4 said, this happens from time to time. (Oh great)
  
• Sometimes I can't access the store (No internet connection) {I have fiber at my house and the xbox is still online.
  

Some good thing (But not worth it to me, not anymore )

• Built in speaker in your controller
• touch sensor on the top of the controller (computer touchpad)
• Remote play works great locally
• Its what Sony's says it is "PS4 is a gaming console" nothing more

Would you recommend this to a friend? No way

Their are a fews things that bother me on xbox, but takes about a month or 2 and normally either they stop bothering me or it changes and then I like it.

Keep up the good job MS and Xbox team,

I will never do this again for a future console of Sony's ever again. I will stay with my Xbox, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Oh and of course Windows 10

For me there is not one console better than the other.

Some prefer A whilst others prefer B, whether it be for the games, controller, online service, where their friends are.

Simple as that, now I'm out of here!

 

Never had a problem with remote play on the vita (and im not a network manager).

It seems your personal preference is Xbox thats okay but most people here have made their choice already.

Some of your reasons are laughable to be fair (5-16 yr olds on GTA, yeh cos that only happens on ps4).

Try goping to the ps forums whee someone may listen to you. Posting gripes about PS streaming on an Xbox forum is just weird

 

@Lofty.....This thread won't get locked due to the fact nothing disparaging is being said about the X1.

The mods will let it roll. Now if it was about a precious MS product, it would have already been deleted.

I do like the fact he complained about paying for online on the PS, but apparently that's fine on Xbox.

 

I don't understand all this comparison both consoles have there issues and need sorting fast as gamers from both sides are being effected and that's not good
