Mediacom Cable/Dvr box won't change channels

Well I've tried to troubleshoot/research this as much as possible but I'm stumped. So let me start with the main info, my cable provider is mediacom, the box is a pace rng200n. I don't have a kinect but I do have the ir extension cable. I've tried the guided
setup and manual, listing the brand as mediacom and pace and like 10+ different ir codes..I'm not sure what I could be doing wrong.. I'm pretty certain the ir cable is working because it's managed to control my tv. But still unable to change channels.

Xbox one won't control my pace dc 700x cable box

When I try to change the channel with vocal commands my xbox understands me, but does not change the channel on my Pace dc700x cable box from Mediacom. It controls my tv just fine. I have installed an ir extension cable, but that does not help at all.

XB1 Won't Change Channels

I received a new Xbox One today. I'm trying to set up the live tv options. During the set up, there is a test to change the channel and it will ask you if it changed channels and it won't. How can I fix this? I'm using a Comcast Cable Box with DVR. Thanks

I got this working...not sure if the ir cable wasnt all the way plugged in or i needed to adjust the ir sender...but one of those fixed it

Have you tried resetting the Cable-box. Removing the power cord from the box and then removing the Cable Line that goes into it. Wait about 5min after, then plug in the Cable line, along with the power. That should reset your Cable Box and have it refresh
the software.

Currently, the Xbox One does not have the option to record your TV shows, due to not having the option for the DVR. If you cable provider and your plan supports DVR you can still use your Cable remote to change channels, along with go to DVR.

I have timer warner cable and I have a cisco cable box and my Xbox one works with the cisco cable box that time warner installed. The Xbox can power it on off and change channels but it cannot fast forward or pause anything not even DVR stuff or live tv
like my cable box can...

Yep, the Xbox One communicates with my DVR/cable box just fine for every other command except for pausing live tv.. It turns my cable box off/on automatically, it changes channels, etc. I just can't get it to pause live television..

Why wouldn't it be able to control DVR functionality? It provides it's own guide and controls the channel changing of the cable box, DVR controls should be a cinch.
