  1. Media Remote doesn't control soundbar (Volume or Mute)

I recently bought a Sony Soundbar HTCT770. I followed the appropriate instructions to connect the soundbar via HDMI to my cable box, xbox and TV. I collaborated the settings accordingly. Initially I tried to used the AV guide to automatically collaborated
the settings but when the Xbox sent the signal to the soundbar, nothing happened. After several minutes of going through the guide I decided to enter the code manually. I selected Sony and then entered the model number. The Xbox then recognized the model number
    and I selected it.

Now the xbox can power on (not off) the sound bar, but when I try to adjust the volume using the media remote...nothing. When I try to use the kinect to adjust the volume..nothing. I can still watch my TV and change channels with the remote and one guide
accordingly but I can't change the volume.

I want to be able to connect my soundbar with my system and be able to control it using my media remote.

    :)

  2. Xbox One Media Remote Volume Controls

My media remote will not control my soundbar. Commands like "xbox mute", "xbox volume up", etc all work seamlessly with the soundbar, and the console even powers the soundbar on and off as it should, but I simply can not control soundbar volume and it's
    a HUGE bummer.

    Any advice/answers out here??

  3. Summer update broke Media Remote control

So my Xbox sends volume control signals to a Vizio soundbar via the IR-out port.

Since the Summer update, however, single-button presses on the Media Remote no longer get sent to the soundbar. So basically mute and adjusting the volume by one unit have stopped working.

Any idea what went wrong? Can I fix it?
