Media Player problem

    Media Player problem


    media player will play a avi or any file formatted to play for a few seconds then says that something took too long to get to the xbox. i have the computer on the same network and connected to windows media player. they are both on the same 5 port switch
    in the same room. have everything connected TX1000 cat 6 so dont know whats going on.

    I can still however use Play To for videos.

    I'm also having this problem! Xbox 360. I don't have this problem on the web, or on WD media player. (WD Media player is a real thing :| ).

    Purchased content will not play in Xbox Video app for Windows 8

    i am having problem playing Purchased content. It wont' play in the app, Windows Media Player or Zune but it will play in Windows Media Center. Can anyone help me

    just uninstalled it and reinstalled it does the same thing. says:

    can still use Play To to play videos

    Try a different folder

    It took a long time to gather all your media for playback. Please try a different folder.

    Still plays video in background

    will post video soon as it uploads to onedrive (607mb for 3 min of video)

    Media Player Not showing MKV files.

    There are no warnings or error messages.

    When I select all video's in the Media Player App, it shows all my videos on my media server apart from the mkv videos.

    I know there are mkv videos on the media server, but the Xbox Media Player App doesn't show them.

    EDIT- I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Media Player App. That didn't solve the problem.
