Media Player Plugins Altered?

After all many of the apps which are locked behind the Gold subscription have Media Centre plugins, either official or unofficial.

So for example, Netflix. You could use the Media Centre plugin to stream that to your console rather than using the locked behind the Gold sub Netflix app.

In essence, they are trying to make the Gold sub needed for everything. I wouldn't be surprised to see portions of single player games being locked out in the future if you don't have a Gold subscription.

you can already use BBC iplayer on your xbox.

if you have media center 7 theres a plugin you can use to get iplayer.

then just load media center on you xbox go to extras and there you go iplayer on your xbox.

theres a thread about this from awile ago with a link to the plugin.

i believe it was lewgiffard that posted and should take credit.

The problem is that Microsoft uses Silverlight as it's video player plugin. Silverlight is similar to Adobe's Flash player. Since iOS does not support video plugins, Xbox video via the website won't work.

However I predict over the next couple of years that these video plugin's will become a thing of the past. HTML5 is the future of multimedia playback on the web. Once all website's embrace HTML5, there will no no need for video plugin's and all video's
will play, no matter what device you happen to be using.

I know you're experiencing issues with Add-ons (plug-ins) on Xbox Series X causing multiplayer to crash or lag, and I completely understand how you feel. You can try the following:



1. Add-on compatibility issues
Go to the website where you downloaded the Add-ons and make sure the Add-ons support your current version of Minecraft.
Remove all plugins and try installing just one plugin to see if the problem persists.



2. Check if the plugin allows multiplayer mode
In Minecraft World Settings, open Behavior Packs & Resource Packs and check if the plugin is marked as Multiplayer Compatible.
Some plugins may have Multiplayer Mode disabled by default, you will need to go into the plugin settings and enable it manually.



3. Remove corrupted plugins
If your plugin is causing Multiplayer Mode to not work properly, we recommend removing and reinstalling the plugin:
Go to Minecraft Settings > Storage > Installed Plugins and remove all plugins.
Restart Xbox and go to Minecraft to re-download the plugins.
Try testing the plugins in single player mode before inviting a friend to join.

I have the same problem, using a usb stick to play movies on xbox one. used to work no problems until one day decided to not recognise it at all in the media player app. no settings have been altered just gave up all by itself. have been all over the internet
with no success so any help would be appreciated
