media player not working

Discus and support media player not working in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; since this new update to the new UI, media player hasn't worked for. my usb won't show up at all.     since this new update to the new UI, media player hasn't worked for. my usb won't show up at all. When are they actually going to fix this problem ???

    Media player not working

    I can browse my home server and can see all media files, Including pictures, music and video. However when I try to open that file, it does not play audio, video or even cannot display pictures. I checked FAQ and all media formats are in supported list
    on Xbox one. Files are not corrupted and can be viewed from PC and home server directly.

    I tried un-installing and installing app but still same issue

    Please Help!!

    Media Player Unavailable?

    Not working for me still either. Why the heck is the media player app tied to the xbox live service? I'm using it to play external media, not stream from Xbox or something.

    So do i and streaming works fine.

    I had to allow streaming to xbox one in windows media player then leave windows media player and the media player app on x1 running for a few minutes before it started working.

    The Xbox (and other media devices) don't access your media files directly. Instead they use something called DLNA, which requires your PC to have indexed your media library.

    Then only the index is read by the Xbox (or other media players), and according to that index, you choose the files to play.

    If you moved files around, or the index became corrupted, the Xbox can't find the media files anymore.

    Please start the Windows Media player on your PC, and check that in that Media Player library, your media files are shown and are working correctly.

    If the Media Player can't locate your media, the Xbox 360 can't get to the media as well.
