  1. Media player not fit for purpose

Just moved from ps3 to xbox 1s as it is compatible with tiff files. very dissapointed with awful functionality of the media player regarding viewing digital images from a usb hard drive. Images taken in portrait mode are not displayed properly only half
the image is seen. The slide show (display all) is truly abismal. Images are not shown in full. A zoomed view is shown with the image being moved around showing various areas of the image the full image is not shown before the next image appears. Surey altering
the time the image is on screen and changing transition effects is a basic feature of a slide show. It is so bad I have no option but to reconnect my old ps3 as it does all this with ease Please can this be fixed

    :)

Updates - console is not fit for purpose

Sounds like you might be part of the preview program. Are you?

Are you using instant on so the updates can be downloaded while you are offline?

Updates - console is not fit for purpose

I've had enough with these perpetual console updates. So I had yet another update this morning, it took so long my controller switched itself off, and then immediately afterwards I went to play gears of war judgement, yet another update at 813 MB! Sometimes
I just want a quick game of something whilst making my dinner, oh look thwarted again! I bought a xbox one to play games, not to sit there entertained by watching a update percentage slowly tick by.

If I can't play games on it when I want to, which is the principle reason for the purchase, I strongly consider this product faulty under the sale of goods act, and perhaps I will ask for a refund and stick with my 360 for a while longer. It's a shame really,
I do like the Xbox platform.

Updates are good, and I have no problem with that a couple of times a year, with the 360 updates were well advertised and you knew what to expect, and when. I don't give a *** if your Windows 10 OS leaks like a sieve, if it isn't robust enough to operate
on my console please replace it with a better OS, and by better I mean something you only need to update a couple of times a year.

Yes, I'm having the same bad experience with Media Player. Does nobody at Microsoft test anything? Why would you not display photos in portrait orientation? Back to the PS3 for me too.

Be gone XBOX 360 and hello XBOX ONE...HA HA !

I use if for movies, music and pictures. My Xbox one will be in my gaming closet for gaming purposes as my 360 serves as a media player. I believe the one is not going to be media extender friendly due to DRM.

    SOGA? Maybe...

But if they turn off live for the 360 then it won't be fit for purpose, one of the purposes that it was sold for was online play.

I see, you really weren't supposed to be going through this situation, Nick.
