Media Player: No songs or device found

About two weeks or so ago, I was able to play music on my Xbox 360 from my phone. But after starting it up today, it will recognize my phone as a portable device, but for some reason it will say "No songs found" despite it working in the past. Is there a
reason for this? Is it possible there's too much music on my phone for it to work??

I have a 500mb external hard drive (formatted FAT32). I have been using it on my Xbox One for the first 10 months, then after the update with the new layout it does not recognize my hard drive, or any of my hard drives for that matter. Help?

I had the same issue and it turned out to be my pc, not the xbox, I went to the media centre on my pc and streaming had been turned off, I suspect a Microsoft update. Once I allowed it (again) its fine.
