    Media Player: "No files found" on DLNA server


    Hi,

    I'm trying to use my mac to stream music to my Xbox One. I've set up two DLNA servers (plex and XBMC), and each has the same problem: I can find the server from my Xbox and browse artists, albums, etc, but when I actually get to a level that would list songs
    (Artist > Album, for example), the Xbox reports "No files found." My music is all standard MP3s, so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

    Please help!

    Play To from Windows Media Player also works, though I find that it downgrades .mkv files to SD. mp4 files can be Play To'ed to the Xbox One without issue (at least, for standard audio/video. Haven't tried subtitles).

    same here, except that I have 2 xbone :

    -one works flawlessly,

    -the other sees my cloud but when I select it it doesnt see no file at all (even sometimes, I can't even move my cursor to select anything, its like the app freezes onlyt can get out by pressing home buton)

    Stream from Mac to Xbox 1

    I assume you are talking about streaming movies or other media? The easiest method would be to set up a DLNA server on your mac. You can then use the Media Player app on the Xbox to access and stream the files.

    There are several software titles that will do this. I use Plex - it's free to set up the DLNA server with that. http://plex.tv

    The same is true with MKV files encoded with h.264 and AC3 audio. Nothing will play in the Media Player app from my DLNA server. It was working an hour ago, but not anymore.

    Xbox One will be supporting DLNA on it's media player app with the upcoming October dashboard update, so this should be possible without problems.

    It's already possible to stream media towards the One with the windows media player, but with the next update the One will be able to browse for DLNA servers within the network it's connected to.
