    Media Player No Devices Found


    Hello,

    I have a 500mb external hard drive (formatted FAT32). I have been using it on my Xbox One for the first 10 months, then after the update with the new layout it does not recognize my hard drive, or any of my hard drives for that matter. Help?

    What make and model phone do you have?

    Let's have you double check everything is set up properly by following all of the steps on
    How to listen to music on your Xbox 360 console.

    Let us know how that goes and also let us know if you are seeing any error codes when trying!

    Media Player: No songs or device found

    About two weeks or so ago, I was able to play music on my Xbox 360 from my phone. But after starting it up today, it will recognize my phone as a portable device, but for some reason it will say "No songs found" despite it working in the past. Is there a
    reason for this? Is it possible there's too much music on my phone for it to work??

    Media Player No Devices Found

    I had the same issue and it turned out to be my pc, not the xbox, I went to the media centre on my pc and streaming had been turned off, I suspect a Microsoft update. Once I allowed it (again) its fine.

    How to connect external hard drive?

    @Farscape247 I did that and the external hard drive shows, but when I select it only gives me the option to "view contents", when I select view contents it takes me to the media player, when the media player opens it says "no devices found".

    I then went into Windows Media Player. Under Stream I selected Automatically allow devices to play media. Then under Stream,
    More Streaming Options I made sure the Xbox One was allowed from the Windows Media Player, I right clicked on a movie/video in my library and selected "Play To" and then Xbox One. I heard the movie start.

    I went to media center on the xbox one and all files are now showing

    I've always found it easier to use the System Media Player than Media Centre. I find Media Centre to be more trouble than its worth.
