Media Player locking up

I don't know if this is where to post this problem, but when I snap the media player for music in background, after some time the player will freeze. Example: Playing Minecraft, after the music runs out, I snap to the media player to play more music, and
the screen lock's up. You can hold the Xbox button on controller and hear the console off, controller off menu pop up, but nothing show's on screen,just a locked up screen of the game. In this case Minecraft. After a hard reset, everything works again. But
after time the media player will lock up again. Just wanted to know, if I was the only one having this problem. Thanks Travis B.

I love how the Xbox Media player post has turned into a Android vs iOS war. Someone please lock....

Things YOU would like to see on the Xbox 360 Fall update?

I would like to see a revised media update for iPads etc.. The guide menu keeps locking up when browsing iPad & only when you pull the iPad out, then it will work again..

Nothing as the protocols needed weren't too user.friendly

Miracast or dlna even wifi direct are.better media player or vlc work.much better for that stuff and you didn't have to play with router settings and you weren't locked to an ecosystem

Windows media player was limited with codecs unless you got third party programs but media Center still had limits on codecs

With miracast or dlna you only limited by your mediaplayer (vlc is available on Xbox)

While you can't use Media Center with Windows 10 (as Windows 10 doesn't have Media Center anymore), you can still stream music, videos and pictures to your Xbox 360 via DLNA.

To set that up, start the Windows Media Player on your Windows 10 PC, and make sure the Media Player has access to your media files. Usually, Media Player looks for that under "Users\[YOUR USERNAME HERE]\[Pictures | Music | Videos]"

If you use different folders or drives for your media library, you need to add those folders and drives to the Media Player's library.

If your media shows up in the Media Player window, you need to turn on Media Sharing on the Windows 10 PC.

Open the start menu, and type "Control" to find the Control Panel.

In the Control Panel, type in the upper right corner "Media"

Under "Network and Sharing Center" should be a link to the "Media Streaming Options".

If necessary, enable Media Streaming and make sure your Xbox 360 is running.

You should then see the Xbox 360 in the list of available devices. Allow the Xbox 360 to access your PC's Media Library.

Now, on your Xbox 360, start the Music Player, Photo Viewer or Video player, and as source choose your PC from the list.

You should then see the media that your PC shares to your local network.

Have you tried streaming to your Xbox 360 from your PC with Windows Media Player on your computer? From the Start screen on your computer, just start typing Windows Media Player, and it should show up.

Stream media using Zune or Windows Media Player.
