    Media Player Lag When Snapped


    Whenever I snap the media player to play videos off my external hard drive while playing a game (ex: Master Chief Collection or Titanfall), the video is really choppy and lags behind the audio. If I use the media player by itself and don't have it snapped,
    then everything is fine. Any ideas on what might be wrong?

    Same issue here. When i first got my xbox one the feature worked perfectly. I would watch tv and grind in Warframe for hours on end. My original xbox had a power supply issue and had to be sent in, i received a refurbished console from Support. The feature
    has stuttered ever since. It's clearly an xbox issue, as no other piece of my equipment has changed in between. The stutter is worse during times of heavy data access diring a game. I miss snapping tv, roght now it's pointless.

    Mine has the same issue, and it consistently lags. The framerate is terrible. Right now, I am trying to watch the hockey game in between CoD matches, but the framerate of the snapped cable box image is just really jumpy.

    Got a little more info for you! Looks like as of the most recent update, you CAN Snap the "Media Player Preview" and play music, however un-snapping it will end the current music!

    By now the media player app does not support snap mode and also stops playing when minimized. 'Til now it's just a preview of the app so hopefully these features will be added in the final release.

    Why can't I stream music from USB WHILE playing games?!?!?

    You can close the snap window while in party chat so they should be able to do it with the media player. And have music still play.
