Media Player Error Code(s) 0xc1010102 (0x80072ee2)

I have been using the media player app to stream media from my Windows 7 laptop since the media player app was released. I would occasionally receive this error message while streaming but not often. I just bought a Windows 8.1 laptop, and the problem is
occurring quite frequently, multiple times while playing one file. I've tried uninstalling and hard resetting the console. The option to turn off storage when power is off is unchecked. This is very frustrating. Is there any word on an update for this?

Media player app will not play more than 28 minutes

trying to stream media from pc on local network - stops every 28 minutes with error code 0xc1010102. Error not listed in code checker, only to watch end of film is restart and forward fast to where it drops out. Anyone else with this issue or found a solution?

 

Error Code: 0x8B050037 0x00000000 0x00000202

Update: Error Code changed to 0x80072EE2 0x00000000 0x00000200

Updating from USB also fails...

 

I also am having problems with the media app crashing regularly when playing music from a 1 TB USB drive. When it crashes I get an error code but cannot select any options so cannot send to MS.

Have also tried raising this issue a few times over the last month and got no real feedback on the issue.

 

I too am having this problem on my XBox One console from a network attached NAS but it plays fine on my XBox 360. Anyone Microsoft have any ideas?

I am also having this problem. My general impression of Media Player for Xbox One is that it is very buggy.

 

I've been getting this issue also. I used to stream movies from my windows 8.1 PC to my Xbox 360 no issues at all. Since the Media Player app has allowed DLNA streaming with my Xbox One I can stream movies but intermittently I will get this error and need
to restart the movie. Have tried different router but the issue still persists.

Full error message I get is:

Can't Play

Make sure you're connect to the internet, then try again. If you're definitely connected, make sure no firewalls or proxy servers are blocking access to Xbox services0xc1010102 (0x80072ee2)

 

1 month. And still no answer from MS.
