Discus and support media player continuous play in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; Is there anyway to turn off continuous play on the XBONE media player?     Plex Media server has a Mac version, and works great for me (Even though I am using the windows version of the program. This sets up a simple DNLA server without needing Windows Media Player. Plus it will create a nice and handy view for your digital movies
    including; Movie Poster, Actors, Directors, Rating, etc.

    You don't need to use the Plex App on the Xbox one either, just use the Media Player app. The only caveat, is you can't use subtitles, doesn't matter if it's a separate .SRT file, or an .MKV file with subtitles encased in it.

    My problem is between media player and game itself. Before the console updated, it was easy to keep both, media player and game on at the same time but now after that update it seems to be impossible. Help me please! D:

    At the moment the only way to continue hearing music that you are streaming through the media player is in a snapped mode.

    Open the media player app. When you run the Media Player app, select your external USB drive, and then select the media that you want to play.

    Thanks for your response! If your NAS supports DLNA, the Xbox One will be able to play media using the

    "Media Player"     application. Simply open Media Player, allow it to detect the server on your network, browse your media, and play!
