Media player app.

Since were on the subject i had a quick question that I couldnt seem to get answered in its own post...

I am messing around with the new USB Media Player app and was wondering if anyone found a way to edit the folder icons that contain my music files. I prefer icons for all of my files and just finished with the songs but would like to, for instance, change
a folders icon to individual artist pictures and so fourth for their albums.

 

@youth your iPod will be formatted to the iTunes format. If you turned your iPod into a mass storage device it would read it.

 

I have a problem where Videos appear to stutter---maybe they are choppy or something like that? Its not it a stutter really, it just has a big frame-rate drop. Multiple files. AVI. Is it a file size issue or a problem with the USB device I'm using? I watched
an episode of something else and it worked fine but several movies has this issue. The one that was stuttering was something like 1.4 GBs?

 

i can play music now from a usb, but it won't even snap, let alone play in the background! what a joke!

 

I updated my console last night you have to download the Media Player Preview app on XBL it's about 42MB big. At least they added another missing Xbox Live Feature from Xbox 360. I like how you can play videos and view pictures by connecting what you want
from your PC to your Xbox 1 using a USB device. You can also transfer pictures from your computer to your Xbox 360 this way and then use one of the pictures from the USB as your Xbox 360 Dashboard background. I took some 4k photos while my family was on holiday
almost 2 years ago and used it as my Xbox 360 Dash background. I hope they add the ability to change the Dash background really soon.

 

I downloaded the media player preview app and hooked up my zune hd (if anyone still remembers those) but nothing comes up within the app. Anyone have a similar issue or know what's going on?

 

Media player app is a good start, but needs some improvements:

1, needs to be able to scale media to full screen

2, would be a great to be able to have a start screen that has favourites/shortcuts

3, would be great to be able to pin folders to home pins

 

I run Universal Media Server on my PC for streaming. It lets you share only the folders you want and the One will display only them, it feels a lot more organised than doing so through WMP.
