    Today I recently attempted to use the media player app and it came up as an error code then after I deleted it to attempt to download it again, in the store it was shown as "Unavailable", what has happened here? Has it been removed from the store?

    Media player app

    Loving the new app. It fast forwards and rewinds quicker than any device I own and has wide file coverage. But I'd like to change the two row view of the thumbs. Some directories I have consist of 500plus files so I'd like more of a grid layout for better browsing of the thumbs.

    Is there a way a can change the layout?

    Media Player (Standard DNLA default app)

    Plex app - accessing same files on a plex Server

    Entertainment>My films & TV>Personal>Media Servers
    (The interface is different in this method compared to the stock DLNA media player app)

    I've done the exact same thing today. App wouldn't load, uninstalled and then found the app in the store but it says unavailable??

    Why can't the ONE play the same media files as 360 ???

    Open the media player app. When you run the Media Player app, select your external USB drive, and then select the media that you want to play.

    They now have a Media Player app that will read items either from a USB or your computer. Please search the App Store for the Media Player app and install it.

    Media Player Not showing MKV files.

    There are no warnings or error messages.

    When I select all video's in the Media Player App, it shows all my videos on my media server apart from the mkv videos.

    I know there are mkv videos on the media server, but the Xbox Media Player App doesn't show them.

    EDIT- I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Media Player App. That didn't solve the problem.
