Media player app will not play more than 28 minutes

Discus and support Media player app will not play more than 28 minutes in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; trying to stream media from pc on local network - stops every 28 minutes with error code 0xc1010102.     Media player app will not play more than 28 minutes


    trying to stream media from pc on local network - stops every 28 minutes with error code 0xc1010102. Error not listed in code checker, only to watch end of film is restart and forward fast to where it drops out. Anyone else with this issue or found a solution?

    media player... can we get an update

    The 360 doesn't have more features than the One. The media player on the One can play far more codecs and containers than the 360's media player ever could, but I agree that it would be nice to be able to play background music without having the app snapped.

    Hey there ixx banthar!

    Sorry to hear about the Media Player issue! I recommend starting out by Uninstalling and Reinstalling the Media Player app. Before you reinstall the
    app, do a full power cycle on your Xbox One console to clear the system cache. Follow the steps below to power cycle your Xbox One.

    • Uninstall the Media Player app.
    • Press and hold the power button on the Xbox One console for 10 seconds.
    • Once the unit is powered off, unplug the power cable from the Xbox One and let it sit for 5 minutes.
    • Plug the power back into the unit and power the console on.
    • Reinstall the Media Player app.
    Follow each step and verify if the issue persists or not. I would also make sure your Windows PC is fully up to date! Post back and let us know how it goes!

    I had to allow streaming to xbox one in windows media player then leave windows media player and the media player app on x1 running for a few minutes before it started working.
