Media player app stoped working

This set of error codes is a reported exception fault. In your case, it is likely due to a corrupted data stream from your external HDD to the console. Did this start happening after the recent Xbox update? Also what external HDD due you have.

In working with this error set recently, the direction I have been told to pass on is to make sure the cache has been cleared on the console via a hard reset (hold the power button in for 10s, unplug for 10s) and work with the external HDD manufacturer (in
almost all cases, Seagate). Other systems and apps use different buffering schemes and may not exhibit the problem.

tPlease also bear in mind that not all media types can be streamed on the console. Even though some content may work for a bit it could cause the app to crash after a while.

Does this happen with content purchased online from the Movie/TV app?

Also, try uninstalling the app and re-install it so see if that solves the problem

Hi, understood. But these are basic media types which I would presume they should be supported by the Xbox. These play fine on the windows PC.

From what I gathered, if the movies can play on the PC, they should play on the Xbox?

Or perhaps, your team can recommend another media player app that I could use?

FYI, i also tried VLC player, but it was worst.

I noticed sometimes with my Media apps that if there is a sudden drop in my internet service then I get an error code even if I am streaming from an external HDD.
