Media Player app still freezing!

Nearly every time I stream movies from my computer to my Xbox One via the Media Player app it freezes. It seems to do it more if I pause, rewind or fast forward the movie. I have my computer hooked up to a network and my Xbox One is connected to the same
network. My 360 never froze and when I first got my Xbox One I don't remembering happening much either, though lately it happens all the time. I don't think its the router because I never have problems connecting to the internet. Also, you'd think with
this "better" console that it would come with a skip a chapter function and remember where I left off like on the 360. Every time it freezes I have to back out and fast forward to where I was and risk it freezing more. Streaming MP4's shouldn't be this much
hassle.

Media player app

Loving the new app. It fast forwards and rewinds quicker than any device I own and has wide file coverage. But I'd like to change the two row view of the thumbs. Some directories I have consist of 500plus files so I'd like more of a grid layout for better browsing of the thumbs.

Is there a way a can change the layout?

 

Media Player Plugins Altered?

XBO Media Player is my most-used app... Mainly because I started converting my collection of movies/series' in 2008, and that is still the case now. Anyway, since NXOE, the plugins that Media Player uses seem to be malfunctioning/faulty. Most (if not all)
digital media files are hanging/freezing at the beginning, and stay that way for 20-30 seconds.

They were all playing fine prior to NXOE, so I can only guess it's the plugins (or the app has changed significantly). My experience leads me to believe it's definitely the plugins, but I'm wondering if anyone has experienced the same (or similar) issues?
