Media Player App: Add cover for folders?

How to add a cover picture of a season or a movie to the folder on the usb drive in media player of the xbox one? I don't mean the thumbnail of the movie on the movie file. I mean the folder, something like album.jpg or content-small.jpg.

    :)

  3. Xbox Music loads wrong album information

    Hello,

I imported some CDs and added some Information like cover etc.

Media Player shows that correctly. Xbox Music searches in the same locations for my collection, but there's one CD, the app somehow associated with a wrong album. The app shows a wrong cover and doesn't even load all tracks.

So my question is: How can I tell the program to simply load cover and other information of the tracks from my hard drive and not search for it online?

    Regards,

    Sphinx

Bring Back to us FILE EXPLORER XBOX ONE

Mods keep saying to just use the movies and tv app and the media player app but you cant manage folders and files nor can you delete them, the only thing I can do with those apps is view videos, my files and photos & make them my background.

I want the ability to add folders, files, docs, music, photos and videos in once location and be able to delete what I want or rearange folders, to do this I need File Explorer.

Bring it back Microsoft, make it an optional app on the xbox store.

    Play To disappearing

Gothams Her0, in Windows Explorer, right-click on the second drive or folder(s) and choose Include In Library -> Video. The files should be appear in the Media Player app.

Have a read of this mate see if this can help you out

I'd also recommend the following link since it's an official Xbox Support link that covers supported file types.

    https://support.xbox.com/en-CA/xbox-one/console/media-player-faq

Here is another link that might help; although, some of it is already covered in that other one.

Personally, I would recommend using Plex. All you do is download and install
    Plex Media Server
onto your computer. Then, you can create an account (it's free), and select which folders you want Plex to see. It will not only recognize your files, but also provide the covers, rating, and description of everything.

Then, you can either download the Plex app on the Xbox One (which is also free), or stream your files to the Media Player app.

Once you have it all setup, you just go over to your Xbox and select the Media Player app, and then it should not only show your
Plex server, but also all your media categorized into your
    specific folders.

The only problem with using the Media Player is that my videos are on two separate hard drives. I have them separated into folders using letters of the alphabet for each folder and the N-Z folders are all symlinked from the Video folder to their locations
on the second drive. The Media Player won't see the symlinks at all so I can't access half my video library from the Media Player. I can play them from Play To, however it'll drop out from time to time, usually if I reboot the media server and the Xbox is
    still on. It's annoying.

Viewing wtv files on xbox one

I have the same problem- despite of installing the Media player app on xboxOne.

And the listing of monies do not correspond to the folders I have on my W10Pro computer, it is very confusing.
