  1. Media Library on Xbox One

I thought that the xbox One was initially an all-in-one gaming / media platform. Could someone provide an update regarding the Media Player on Xbox One?

I would like be able to use a USB Drive to store / play my media files, but with the capability of having a decent Media Library interface to display artwork and perhaps some information regarding the media file, etc to make the media player easy to use
and informative. It currently appears to be no more than a simply version of Windows Explorer?

The only information I can find about Media Libraries on Xbox One, is if you stream media via DLNA servers (which I don't really see the point in streaming files if you can use a USB drive direct)?

Can an updated Media Player be included in a future update?

    :)

    xbox one hopeless media player

I use a Synology DS214Play with Plex and the XBox One and it plays pretty much everything, the media player on the Xbox is fine with the Plex Library too.

edere File Video su Pc sulla Xbox 360[Translation-E.O. Video Files on PC on Xbox 360]

The Xbox (and other media devices) don't access your media files directly. Instead they use something called DLNA, which requires your PC to have indexed your media library.

Then only the index is read by the Xbox (or other media players), and according to that index, you choose the files to play.

If you moved files around, or the index became corrupted, the Xbox can't find the media files anymore.

Please start the Windows Media player on your PC, and check that in that Media Player library, your media files are shown and are working correctly.

If the Media Player can't locate your media, the Xbox 360 can't get to the media as well.

    File Sharing

The best way to share files is through Windows Media Player or Windows Media Center. I personally set up a library on Windows Media Player and then sync it to my network, which my Xbox 360 is connected to. This way it will play only what is in your library
and not just the C: folder.

Why is XBOX Music Re-Downloading...ALL OF My MUSIC???

There are two problems this causes, 1). the folder is taking up lots of disk space. 2). it causes problems 'no license' when playing in Media Center.

My library is on it's own drive h:\Music\. Media Center uses the same folder. Music Pass is using H:\Music\Xbox Music\Xbox Music Pass\ which means these write protected files are in my library. Media Center finds these wma right protected files on the XBox,
and my other win 8 machines running Media Center, and they stop playing by popping a message stating license not found. I own all of these songs since I bought the CD's and ripped them to the library myself.

All I want to do is start up Media Center on the Xbox and play all of my music without stopping, but since this folder is within my library and Media Center cannot locate the Media Pass license for these files, it stops playing.

I searched for a registry entry to move the '\Xbox Music Pass\' directory out of my library but no luck.

    A solution would be nice.

Xbox One Extender Drivers for Windows 7 Home PC Network

I got it working. I had the Digital Media Renderer No driver found error.

I then went into Windows Media Player. Under Stream I selected Automatically allow devices to play media. Then under Stream,
More Streaming Options I made sure the Xbox One was allowed from the Windows Media Player, I right clicked on a movie/video in my library and selected "Play To" and then Xbox One. I heard the movie start.

I went to media center on the xbox one and all files are now showing
