    Media Center PC


    So -

    I've got a media center PC.

    4 tuners, 8TB hard drive array, and it's powered through the house by 5 Xbox 360.

    My son wants an xbox1 .... will it support MediaCenter by christmas? I've read/googled that this is NOT possible today, and so he'll not get an Xbox1.

    Would be a shame that a NEWER console has less features and functionality than it's predecessor...

    Media Center is for when you're using the Xbox as a Media Center Extender, when connected to a PC running Windows Media Center. Media Center PC :)

    Antenna TV on Xbox One

    This would be easy with Media Center and a PC with a Tuner and Media Center. Then you could use the HDMI in for something else I or If you hooked a Media Center PC directly to the XB1 w HDMI and kept it on media center it should work pretty well.

    Actually, they've released a new media app that will be able to stream movies, music and pics from your pc through the Xbox One now.

    Although the link says that you need a usb you only need to download the app now and it will find your pc.

    Also, if you do decide to get yourself an Xbox One you'll be happy to hear that you can expand its storage capacity by adding USB 3.0 capable external hard drives. You can have up to two hard drives at a time ranging in size from 256GB to 16TB each for
    a maximum storage space of up to 32.5GB of storage for games/apps.

    Do you know if the new media app can play either live or recorded TV from a Windows Media Center PC?

    Back in the day the 360 in conjunction with a Media Center PC made a pretty good DVR and that was one of its most underrated features as far as I'm concerned.

    records TV using The Guide on our
    Media Center computer with three tuners.
    We have three Xbox extenders that have turned our home into a
    wonderful multi-media experience. We use Media Center to
    listen to our local FM Radio Stations. We
    play Music and Picture Slide Shows from our Media Center PC.
    Please keep our Media Center PC's up and running. I will not do without Windows Media Center. If not supported in future Window releases and/or Xbox One...I may never upgrade extender hardware or operating systems again, sorry to say. Please keep the

    Is it possible to have more than one Media Center PCs accessible from XBOX?

    I don't think you can connect to 2 different media center's but the only solution I can think of is to share the media from PC A to PC B and add it to the library of windows media center on PC B then set up your xbox as an extender from PC B then you will
    be able to access all the media from both PC's via the 1 connection
