    Media App not working


    I was prompted to install an update to the Media Player app last night and it froze my xbox one when i tried to start the app. I restarted my xbox one, but when I select the Media Player app, it makes the bell sound acknowledgMing I clicked on the app,
    but then it does nothin. This is the only app this happens on. Ive hard rest the console, unin and reinstalled the app a couple of times after restarting. Any help?

    media player not on store

    I'm having the issue also. Media player app not working, deleted and unable to reinstall... Super *** about this one...

    Media Player Unavailable?

    Not working for me still either. Why the heck is the media player app tied to the xbox live service? I'm using it to play external media, not stream from Xbox or something.

    it works and displays all my media without the limited file count i saw with the "Movies & TV" app.

    not ideal, but it works ....

    just wondering why the "My Media" app doesn't.

    It's not just a lack of support for the Xbox One Media Remote. I have a Logitech Harmony Remote that works with the Xbox One and it also doesn't work with the YouTube App. The only device that seems to work with the YouTube app is the controller. It's a
    shame since the Xbox One Media Remote works really well in other apps like Twitch,Crackle and Machinama.

    So do i and streaming works fine.

    I had to allow streaming to xbox one in windows media player then leave windows media player and the media player app on x1 running for a few minutes before it started working.
