Mechwarrior 5 off xbox game pass not launching.

Strange situation. A few months ago I updated my xbox one to an xbox series x and ported over all my old games. Mechwarrior 5 was on of those and it was a download off game pass. Since then it won't load. Keeps telling me to sign in with the account that purchased it. Here is what I've tried.

- Uninstaller and reinstall. Even removed the save file just in case. And Uninstaller reinstalled again.

- power cycle xbox cuz duh.

- checked my gamepass sub and it's still active. Mechwarrior is the only game affected.

- logged in and out of my account numerous times.

- checked gamepass library to make sure Mechwarrior 5 is still active

- Uninstallerd from external storage and into internal storage and vice versa to see if that helped.

- made sure game wasn't missing any updates.

I'm out of ideas. It only affects the one game but I like this game and it's one my buddies and I play all the time.

Thoughts?

It sounds like the game was incorrectly tagged with your security information

Did you remove the save file from the cloud as well?

This has been going on since I switched over to the Xbox x in December as per original post.

There was actually a service outage last night that was most likely the cause.

I did. But I actually figured out the issue last night.

When I put everything over onto my Xbox x I did not designate the new Xbox as my “home console” in the settings. Did that last night and everything worked! Not sure why it would only affect that game but it worked so I’m happy.

see, that's what i was suspecting originally, but i checked in with a friend here in the country who also has game pass and he has no trouble whatsoever with Mechwarrior 5. According to the website, there shouldn't be any trouble with PC game pass, no?
