Mechassault 2 Lone Wolf is an amazing game

I think Mechassault 3 & 4 went to the PC (sorry, I'm not really sure about this) and based on what I know, we're currently only Mechassault 5 if one ever gets made for the Xbox One.

If you could choose a canceled XBOX or 360 game to be created what would it be?

I would also like to see a Hunter the Reconing 3.and Mechassault 3.But the good news is that Mechassault 3 may come out for 720 considering Day 1 Studios"makers of Mechassault" say they are working on a secret project!

Titanfall should open up all kinds of new ideas in the world of mechs.

Lei Fang, the Mechassault and Mechwarrior games are all part of the same franchise and fictional universe. The mechs you pilot in Mechassault are the same mechs you pilot in Mechwarrior - the only thing that is different is the gameplay mechanics. Mechassault
was easy and very arcade-style whereas Mechwarrior is more of a technical simulator.

That being said, if you like light and fast mechs, then the is what you want.

Thank you very much for clearing that up for me, I had no idea that they were from the same franchise

I played "Armored Core 4" a lot & it seems to me that the Mechwarrior Online is like that. I didn't like "Armored Core 4: For Answer" that much though.

Chromehounds, now that was an amazing game, much more in-depth than mechassault. Shame the demo they released was dull and boring meaning it's sales weren't as good as they could have been.

 

I owned Chromehounds - it was terrible! It was impossible to shoot anything unless you used the zoom-in camera, which was this tiny window in the corner of your screen. On top of that, half the game was spent walking across the battlefield to your enemy,
which was BORING! If you think that was in-depth, then you haven't seen Mechwarrior Online - check out more of their videos from my link above.

 

I agree mechwarrior online is a brilliant game, but my statement was Chromehounds was more in depth than mechassault, which it was.

Mechassault was just a glorified first person shooter, Chromehounds could be radically customised.

 

Don't worry Shaggy, I wasn't disagreeing with you.

I was just saying that in terms of depth and strategy, it was like this:

MechAssault < Chromehounds < Mechwarrior Online

Also, Leif Fang - both MechAssault and Mechwarrior originated with Battletech, which was a table-top roleplaying game with miniatures. You can Google that, though.

 

We really need some Mech action back to console, I like Titanfall but it's not what I need...

My favourite games in the "mech" franchise was the tactics one, think it was called Mech Commander, now that would be a great game to be remade.
