    Hi, I am looking to get a mechanical keyboard for the games that I play which support keyboard and mouse A friend told me I need to make sure the Keyboard is compatible as quite a lot of them aren't. Is this true on the series X? I've never run into this issue on previous-gen as long as the keyboard is connected through USB. Can anybody help? I don't want to buy something if it's not compatible with my series X. I will use it on PC too but currently, I have a GPU on pre-order and it's been delayed for a while now.

    Any keyboards that are USB and don't need any sort of exclusive driver on Windows 10/11 will work on the Xbox One/Series X|S consoles. You will need a PC if you want to customize some of the keyboard's features, some of them need a specific software to change some of it's functionality. like LED color, for example.

    Good morning! As long as you are talking about the Series S or X, then according to sources yes, almost any Keyboard or Mouse will be suitable. Please see below:

    "The USB transmitters that ship alongside wireless gaming mice and keyboards handle all the data communication between your peripherals and your console. This means that almost all wireless keyboards and mice will work with Xbox Series X and S."

    Of course, that being said, devices made specifically for the system will have more finely tuned compatibility.
