ME4

Is anyone else in general both dreading, and hoping for ME4? Especially when Bioware decided it would be prudent to get a hold of their fans and ask for what we wanted?

Seems like knowing what fans want would be a good idea...... Look at the new Star Wars movie....

Fans already had a new ending added to part 3 anyway

 

From my understanding there will not be an ME 4 but there might be another mass effect game. The Shepard story line is over. Do not quote me on that though. I just read forums and that was the impression that I got.

 

I'm not sure a 'You Lose' ending was really what people were asking for from Bioware.

Bioware continue to have strong story-telling but I think they are moving further away from player agency, preferring instead to focus on immersing the player in the story they want to tell.

maybe not, but it was what we were probably expecting, just a big middle finger to fans who wanted to see the fleet you spent the entire game building have some effect other than a distraction for your team...and the extended scenes that added some detail
to plot holes and made the endings slightly less exactly the same, as they were before, were nice.

personally i'm excited as hell for mass effect 4, regardless of how good it might actually be when it comes out. i honestly don't care, i know i'm going to play it and i know i'm going to enjoy it. it's just like playing a bethesda game, chances are very
high that it'll be ugly and buggy and massively overhyped, but i can't not love each elder scrolls or fallout game.

 

I'm not too excited for the game. I was a major Mass Effect fanboy for pretty much its whole life cycle. But the ending of 3 was a kick in the gut that absolutely ruined the franchise for me.

Besides, that ending didn't really leave much room for a sequel. And I hate prequels in general. It would pretty hard to fight through a game knowing that everything I'm doing wouldn't matter in the end.

Unless they bring back Shepard to fix that ending (which there is a 0.00% chance of happening) I don't really care about it at all. Give me KOTOR 3 instead.

 

I only played the original Mass Effect so I am patiently waiting for Mass Effect 4. Hopefully its as good as the first with a completely new storyline and characters.

 

I still need to play all the Mass Effects. Mass Effect HD Collection first please.

 

It won't be called ME4 and Shepard won't be in it. They're not making a sequel. It will be a completely new story, most likely having nothing to do with what happened in the Shepard trilogy.

I'd be down for a remastered trilogy as well as a new KOTOR. Though it seems clear that Bioware has no intention of making KOTOR3 which is a terrible decision.

 

I'm not dreading anything about it. All excitement from me. I don't take most things serious enough to rage about an ending so Bioware is still all good with me.

 

Defy, it's so worth going back and playing them on the 360! Get into it!

All I'm really hoping is I get to choose race, I think that would be cool! Crogan, Asari! Oh it could it great!

 

i would love to choose different races in the next mass effect. maybe give stat bonuses and abilities for each race...krogans get more health and blood rage, all asari can use biotics, quarians get tech bonuses, turians get access to better weapons...yahg
would be like krogans but with an intelligence boost, maybe leadership?

 

Oh yeah, I was definitely thinking a long those lines!

Except I wouldn't want the starting bonuses to be a huge influence into the choices we made, like dark souls and the pyro. I would want them to be good bonuses for people who truly love the race. I guess much like the multiplayer characters were in ME3.
