    ME3 the Citadel DLC problem


    I recently bought the Mass Effect 3 citadel DLC, I did this using my daughter's xbox live account, but with the intention on playing it with my own account (she doesn't play the game). But, when I tried playing ME3 with my account, the DLC doesn't show up,
    the only option I get is to purchase it again. Since I don't want to purchase it twice, since she won't be using the dlc, is there a way to transfer the dlc to my account or at least to be able to access it from her account? I also tried transferring a saved
    game from my account to hers, so I can at least play the DLC even if it is in her account, but I can't get that to work either. So at this point I have bought the DLC but won't be able to use it because my account won't allow me to use it and in her account
    , the game has never been played, so I can't start it, because to start this particular DLC you have to be at a certain point in the game, not from the beginning. Please let me know what options do I have. Thanks.

    There's one DLC in number 2 that I think is a must have before playing ME3 it's called the arrival.

    -

    The citadel DLC for ME3 imo is the best from that game as it raps everything up and gives you some closure to the whole series.

    Yes, I downloaded both parts, but in my account it only shows that I have the part that is free, not the one that was purchased with daughters account.

    Ok, but another part of my question related to downloads. Was the content originally downloaded to the console that you are attempting to access it on?

    Yes, everything is on the same console, I only have one, so everything is there.

    Ok, can you head over to storage to see if the download is actually there and not corrupted? Perhaps it did not fully download at that time.

    It showed as a corrupt file, with the circle and the exclamation point. I deleted it, but now when I go to Download it again, the file goes to 100% in a matter of seconds and a message appears stating that it was downloaded, but no file is shown in the storage
    device, it only shows part two.

    I did try clearing my system cache, but it didn't work. The solution provided by Hassassinade did work though. Thank you guys! :)

    Hi,

    You can try the fix that's supplied in this YouTube video here, it seems to work for a lot of people. Not quite sure what causes it or why EA hasn't fixed it but here's the solution none the less.

    Essentially you need to boot into the game offline (without being connected to Xbox LIVE). When you do that the Checking Downloadable Content message only appears for a short amount of time instead of being stuck infinitely. When it's off of the checking downloadable
    content screen, go to Extras > Options > Online > Turn on Upload Gameplay Feedback and Auto Log-in to Origin (EA). After that's done back out of the game back to your dashboard and get connected to LIVE again and everything should be fine.
