    MCC CE on PC Steam freezes on opening cutscene


    Using Quick Start the opening cinematic freezes in the first fifteen seconds - the music continues along with some of the sound effects but the cinematic freezes and there is no dialogue. I have verified the integrity of the local files, moved the files from HDD to SSD, and searched for similar issues/fixes. There is no error message and it will not proceed past the exterior shot of the Pillar of Autumn. By resuming the first level (i.e. circumventing the opening cutscene) I can play through the tutorial up until exiting the cryostasis room where the game freezes completely.

    If you have a gaming pc just hold off till halo mcc comes out for the pc later this year. Halo Ce - 4 in one place, and you'll find lots of people to play with.

    Halo 5: Forge is available, which has some features, and allows you to create maps and play limited multiplayer, but for now that is the extent of its availability on PC. That said, it wouldn't be completely wild to think that they would, at one point,
    put it out on PC either standalone, as an add-on for MCC, or package it into MCC at a later date. For now I'm pretty sure their focus is on Halo: Reach on PC (+ Steam) via the MCC and Halo: Infinite, so I wouldn't hold my breath. Would be nice to round out
    that series and further increase the value of MCC or Xbox Game Pass for PC.

    tis a bit daft though, as halo mcc and sea of thieves and other games that are Microsoft published all support cross save from steam to pc and even Xbox.
