Mc shutting down issue

To the original poster... When you press the shut-down button and the fan/power supply is still running, you can normally just press the shut-down button again and it will switch it all off. Or you can just wait an few more seconds and it switches off anyway.
I havent had any problems with this otherwise.

Blackfox Altoro, sounds like your xbox is/has developed a fault through hardware and nothing to do with software changing. Normally a drive failing to read or see a disk properly is down to hardware failure, i had the same problem more than once, i either
returned it back to the shop as it was still under warranty or i sent it to Microsoft to be fixed.

I'M getting a few issues since the latest update for dash board and it is now driving me insane!

1: is it is taking some time to turn off after I've told it to aether by hitting the power button OR by dash power down, it flashes and takes between 25 seconds to 1 min to power down fully, screen goes blank and lots of light flashing with fans still running.

2: Games have begone to start freezing up mid session, and some games freeze after only 1 min playing time, Some games have become completely unplayable since the update due to the xbox just crashing.

3: Dashboard is now extremely slow to load

4: App loading problems they can take few mins to load or worse sometimes Failing to load some Aps altogether.

5: Ap booting, For example when watching youtube, mid vid or even just having arrived into the ap, it will randomly boot me back to the main dash board.

6: Disc read errors, sometimes when i put a game in it fails to load it or even find a disc, Others it'll be playing the game and Bam at random point it'll suddenly experience this error.

( I Clean ALL my disks before use, I also routinely use a DVD cleaning discs. I check disks regularly for damage, and will get them repaired if I can or just Buy new ones if I need to.)

Really Microsoft haven't you ever heard the saying "If it isn't broke Don't fix it"!!! Your latest overly flashy useless and annoying dash updates have MESSED up the xbox's Kindly go back to a dash update BEFORE October's to fix this problem please, and
for goodness sake PLEASE stop giving us annoying and useless updates. and PLEASE give us back the ability to play old xbox games!
