Discus and support maybe time to delete iplayer in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; The UK governement is drawing up a new whitepaper for the BBC and changing alot of things, so those who dont pay a tv licence due to only watching...     The UK governement is drawing up a new whitepaper for the BBC and changing alot of things, so those who dont pay a tv licence due to only watching catchup TV beware, they will be making it so you need a TV licence to use Iplayer.

    BBC must focus on 'distinctive content'

    originally the licence was only for live broadcasts, so they are now changing the rules and this will open the gate for them to apply the licence to view any content live or otherwise.



    instead of just having a licence for live TV broadcasts they the Govenrment will most likely twist things so all those that have cut the cord and watching on demand services with end up having to pay a licence. (just
    a guess but likely with this government)

    Same problem here, have tried everything xbox suggest...i.e deleting the app waiting 30secs and instaling it again, that fixed the issue once. Every time i restart bbc iplayer i get the same problem again...Deleting just the save file in the memory worked
    once as well...Tried the resetting off the modem/router to no avail....Xbox doesn't have a clue how to solve this issue at the moment, so i guess i will be going back to using bbc iplayer on bt vision until it is sorted.

    I had this issue.

    I fixed it by deleting the iplayer save off the hard drive.

    So if you haven't already you should try doing that.
