So Maya was revealed, what do you guys think? I like her look more than sadira and her stage looks pretty cool too, hoping we get a Cinder trailer soon.

Why all girls character was in perfect shape in fighting games i want a bbw girl character

 

Honestly I was a wee disappointed that she was revealed instead of the other characters.

However so long as Riptor shows up as a tease in Cinder's trailer I'll be back up the hype train again.

I assume this was a leak so maybe there's still hope for that.

As for Maya her design, I like it.

 

Love how she looks. She's pretty different, but you have nothing comparable to doubt that it is her... a lot like it was with the Double Helix designs... so far so good.

And @JEFFRON27 I have no doubt that Riptor will show up, but she's a VERY anticipated "little lady" and it's from a hype point of view better to spread and keep the hype than to just show people what they want, and then the hype is gone before release date
think we'll get Combo and Cinder as super hype makers now and Riptor will probably be last or second to last revealed

Think the next character reveal will be a new one, since Riptor is the only KI1 char left, and don't think they'll reveal 2 KI2 characters just after each other...

I'm hyped no matter what, can't wait to see Maya move (in her stage preferably)

 

@Lord Crisp: I suppose ya have a point there, granted I'd still be more hyped than ever if it turned out she was revealed. Cause than I'd know I'd have something to truly look forward to like I did in season1 with Fulgore.

Don't worry though my jimmies might be ruffled but I'll get over it I only hope the trailer we get will be what I'm hoping to see: Cinder and MAYBE a Riptor tease

 

I'm still confident that Riptor will make it in season 2.

 

I wasnt really a fan of the ki2 characters compared to ki1 but her redesign looks pretty sick and her stage is cool too so im excited was more excited for cinder but she is still badass

 

Out of all the old characters which still aren't in the game. Maya is my least fave, so I am disappointed, although I might like her new incarnation better than her old one. Still would have preferred a Cinder, Riptor, Kim Wu, or Tusk reveal though...

 

Well it was the one character I have never heard anyone in the community calling for, so an odd choice, but she was probably just the most finished character model they had to show.

Cinder, who we all know is coming after the TJ trailer, probably takes a lot of work to optimise. I can imagine making the fire and smoke effects as cool as they can without dropping framerate is probably a bit of a balancing act.

If they are working on three at a time as people have suggested, then it is likely Combo, Maya and Cinder on the boil at the moment.

As far as Maya goes, her fighting style sounds really interesting, and her stage looks beautiful. Looking forward to seeing some gameplay.

She looks interesting still a little on the bland side something IG are becoming very good at. I was really hoping to see a non human and see how IG would have designed them. Also she has blue eyes which seems a little weird.

However again gameplay mechanics sound flipping brilliant, similar to Cody with his knife. Seems to be a running theme right now boring character design but amazing gameplay

 

I just saw Maya's stage properly for the first time (in the KI meld) and it is stunning. And it's not like Thunder's stage, where only the foreground part of the stage is lush and detailed (as opposed to the background part of it, which looks like a static
wallpaper), the whole stage looks amazing. A fear that I had, was the original 6 characters' stages looking inferior compared to the new characters' stages, and that certainly seems to be becoming the case. I really hope IG touches up the original characters
stages, to make them on the same level quality-wise as for the characters who came afterwards. The news that "stage ultras" are being implemented gives me at least some hope that they will do this, as any stage interaction, will require some reworking of the
older stages, I would imagine.

I also much prefer Maya's new look to her "classic" one. It's much less stereotypical, and looks way cooler.

 

@dragonps damn you find everything bland dont you lol id really like to see what kind of character you think isnt, and atleast wait till cinder or riptor or any non human type character before you judge them

 

Maya and Combo look great to me! I'm someone who didn't even really like Maya much, but her new look is awesome, as is her new stage. I'm actually really looking forward to playing as her soon.
