Discus and support May Need Gamertag Change in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; So, I created my account back in early 2012 I believe.     So, I created my account back in early 2012 I believe. When creating the gamertag I was going through a bunch of random names with number combinations so Cappy### I kept going through and getting ones that were used so I jokingly put in 666 and it wasn't
    used, so I just went with it. I've never had a problem with it before, but I kind of worry that is may be offensive to some, so i'm requesting to be able to change it for free or something rather than pay a hefty $10 just for a name change. Thought it would
    be wise to post here for this before I end up in a possible suspension or something in the future. If however my name isn't seen as offensive let me know and that'll be that.

    CAN'T CONNECT TO XBOX LIVE UNDER NEW GAMERTAG

    You may need to make a call to support.

    When you change your gamertag, it should be done from the on console option.

    My Xbox gamertag got changed

    If it was changed automatically that may mean that the old gamertag was against the guidelines somehow. You will need to pay to change it again.

    Sometimes you need to relink or relog the gamertag for the change to show.

    Sometimes it may also take 24 hours for the change.
