May 5th 2016 - Another Syncing Issue!

It is now May 5th 2016 and this is issue still affecting people?

WTF is going on here?

I just got a replacement console yesterday, so obviously needed to download the main Fallout 4 game again and also the Automatroan and WW DLC.

So I purposely waited until everything was downloaded 100% before stating the game.

Guess what!

I was presented with the sync screen which could only reach 30ish percent before crapping out.

10 times I tried it....10 times, followed by the message "We are unable to sync your data with the cloud, yada yada yada" - Try Again or Use Offline.

Whhhhaaaat?

I even loaded up the game on the original console which loaded OK and deleted all the game save except the last 10 or so thinking this would speed up the sync time on the new console.

Nope, that did not work either!

What a POS! Who would have thought there'd ever be issues with relying on 'cloud storage' eh? Errrr, me, that's who!

*** you MS for removing the ability to store 100+ hour gameplay saves locally on USB just in case some carp like this occurs.

Absolute disgrace that this issue is still occurring!

2 freakin' days I've wasted trying to get this game back up an running.

I just tried the following method as mentioned in another post:

* Remove your disk

* Go Settings > Disc & Blu-ray > Blu-ray>Persistent storage > Clear persistent storage.

* Hold down the power button of your console for 5-10 seconds until it turns off

* Unplug the power cable from the wall outlet for 1-2 minutes.

* Plug it back in and turn on the console again.

This apparently clears the system's cache and resets the network card.

However, it did not work either.

Got to 83% the first time and then 85% before crapping out again.

Close, but no cigar Microsoft!

For those who may say it's slow internet, then I will say I have 38mb fibre, so that should not be an issue.

I have even connected the XB1 directly to the router via brand new CAT6 Ethernet cable just in case there was a problem with the home network switches, cables etc.

So this is on you Microsoft and your flakey cloud service.

You need to sort this ASAP!

2days added to my suspension

I got a communication suspension on Saturday 5th November 2016 for 2 weeks and today Monday 7th November 2016 I got another 2 days added to my suspension for harassment & threats even though I haven't been able to chat of send messages on xbox live since
Saturday?

say you changed your Home on the 2nd Feb 2016, 5th March 2016 and 9th Sept 2016, you only have to wait till the 2nd Feb 2017.

Its 1 year from the third previous change on the HOME.

Well, I don't what I did, but I finally managed to get it working.....I think.

Combination of deleting persistent data and going offline I think.

Tried all the other solutions found on various forums with no success, but finally it's showing my latest cloud saves made with my old XB1.

Fingers crossed!

 

Try not to have too many saves.

Fallout 4 take up a lot of space in the cloud.

Mine was once taking up 1.2GB. Syncing can take ages especially if you have a slow connection.

I have a 75Mb connection and syncing can still be slow.

 

another step that helps a LOT with almost any networking issue is to clear the alternate mac address which can be found in the advanced network settings page
