Discus and support maxiumum amount of external hard drives on series x in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I want clarifcation to amount of externall hard disk that can be attached to the series x.     I want clarifcation to amount of externall hard disk that can be attached to the series x.

    I currently have 2x 1tb ssd and 512 ssd via.usb3 Is it possible to have more, via powered usb 3 hub? I did get usb 3 hub, but when i tried this setup i had data corruption on one of the disk. I thought it might have been down to bad disk, but since then the drive seems fine being used to store video.

    My concern or thoughts if i do attach another drive, so i have 2 ports 2 1tb drives and usb3 hub powered with another 1tb drive and 512ssd.

    Will i get data corruption again?

    This question steams i guess, as i fill i need more storage space, and if its worth the invest in getting a cheap 3tb usb drive ive seen?

    Microsoft do not recommend using a hub, but, you could try the keyboard and mouse. If it works or not, then you have your answer.

    Thats probably the reason why i did in the past. I thought it might have been either a bad ssd or the usb 3 hub.

    I got drives for a good price last year and end up buying three of them, after i got 512. But i can see i might need more storage space soon. As i saw a receryifed wd hd. I thought i ask and see if it was possible.

    So if the maximum is three external drives, is it possible to have other things attach like keyboard and mouse as well as the three drives. Its a powered hub

    You can have up to 3 external hard drives/ssd on the Series X|S and Xbox One. Each hard drive/ssd can have a minimum capacity of 128 GB and a maximum of 16 TB. If you try more than that, then it's more than likely you will get data corruption.

    Hi,

    If your game is now a Series X optimised title, it can no longer be played off an external hard drive. It must be moved to either the internal storage or an optional expansion card.

    External USB hard drives are too slow to play Series X optimised games. None Series X games will still run from your external drive. The internal storage in the Series X is a fast NVME SSD. These drives are several times faster than mechanical hard drives.
