Matchmaking punishing players who purchase map packs

This is due to the way matchmaking and Download Content work

Players are sepperated into pools depending on which DLC they own, and will not get matched with players who have different combinations of DLC.

I proceeded to delete all of my DLC and have since been able get into games again.

I understand why we're being divided into pools, but surely (for those who own some and especially those who own all map packs) as soon as matchmaking struggles to find a game in their pool, it should then start to look for a match in pools with less content
(only avoiding pools containing content they dont own) until eventually searching the pool with no DLC at all.

Currently, gamers who purchase DLC are actually being punished for doing so, when really, the more DLC you own, the easier it should be to find a game, therefore rewarding and encouraging people to purchase DLC.

As it stands, your customers would actually be better off not spending any money on DLC at all and therefore enjoying better matchmaking as a result.

The map pack is not free for the players who upgraded their first purchase of the game. They paid for the development of it :0

The three map packs for Halo: Reach,
Noble,
Defiant, and
Anniversary, are completely optional for Matchmaking. You do not need them to play Matchmaking.



However, some playlists, such as the Anniversary Playlist, are restricted to be available to only player who have a certain Map Pack or multiple. The description of the playlist will explain what map packs are needed, if any. Most playlists can still use
the map packs even if they are not needed to play in it.

Not sure on the DLC thing. I have no DLC and constantly get thrown into matches where a stack of ppl have DLC stuff

How many of the events required purchased DLCs - eg FON map pack?

Is it possible for players who did not purchase any of the DLCs to get the achievements?
