    Matchmaking Issue


    Hey MS any chance you can actually provide a reliable service, for the last week Xbox live has had an error Social and Gaming
    Limited when i look at the Service Status, as a payng customer for Gold it is getting quite annoying not being able to join friends in games because of live issues.

    And I have the Xbox360 in the DMZ on a ethernet cable.



    Please fix this.

    Matchmaking issue

    Hey legend, i use to play assisted auto aim because i didn't know there was a free aim option for online, like most of the other gamers. I wish they could have made it a little more obvious. I try to jump to assisted aiming every now in then if i want to
    get a few good races in, it's really not that much better.

    Ambassador, i usually just press x to go straight online from the load screen, but i'll give it a try by going to campaign mode first before online. Hope it works,thanks.

    Also having this problem. I just got a 3 month subscription on the eighth and now all hopes of playing online with friends has gone up in smoke.I hope i get a refund for the past couple days that i havent been able to go online.

    Hi,

    Is this a genuine issue because I also have matchmaking problems. 360 says I'm connected to internet and live but will not sign in. Should I spend more hours trying to fix it on my end or just wait for the service to be fixed?

    Google for Xbox service status and you will be taken to the service status page.

    This has been ongoing for a long time now and I am now looking for a partial refund as paying for BF4 premium was pointless also seeing as I can't join a game without multiple tries and resets of equipment etc.

    Matchmaking Issue

    Same here. Me and my friend couldn't even join each others parties or start a private chat. We have been trying to play Kane & Lynch 2 co-op campaign for around the past week now and not only can we not speak to each other but when we invite each other to
    play it's saying there's no game available when there obviously is. Judging from what i've read all of this must be an XBL problem with the 360. Hoping to see a fix soon.

    OK I have some really interesting news, it turns out that failing to connect to the servers is an ISP issue so sorry MS for thinking it was your service, I shall explain.

    I was talking to EA support who directed me to this page
    help.ea.com/.../ping-traceroute-and-uo-trace
    and told me to download Traceroute (expand the menu) so I followed all of the instructions and then read the part about
    Interpreting the results: and paying special attention to
    Percent Loss


    Low and behold I have a 2% loss which is the cause of the problems and my ISP need to fix this, which is Virginmedia.

    There's defnintely something going on with live on the 360 though because my Xbox One is working fine but live on the 360 is messing up with the problems I mentioned.

    lol It's been out for 2 years and personally there is not 1 game worth upgrading for. Forza 5 was underdone and Project Cars sounds like it's beyond broken. All the other good games were remade from 360.

    I also find it interesting the above poster can connect on the ONE but not on 360?

    The gamertag you're posting with is a Silver membership. In order to take part in matchmaking you need to have a Gold membership.

    Hey there Smokier!



    Please do a Xbox LIVE connection test, and if any errors appear follow the error alongside the solutions on the

    Connection Error
    support page. In case you are unaware on how to do this, here is how to test your Xbox LIVE connection:



    1. Press the Guide button on your controller, go to Settings and then select
      System Settings.
    2. Select Network Settings.
    3. Select Wired Connection (if you’re prompted to do so).
    4. Select Test Xbox LIVE Connection.


    Following that, although you have told us your network speed, could you please perform a
    Network Speed Test and post the actual results of which you get there and then.

    You may want to try, just as a few remedies, turning your router off for a solid ten minutes, moving your console closer to the router / making sure there is no blockage etc...



    You may also want to have a little look at the
    Xbox LIVE Lag Problem
    support page (the first page will give you some advice of which I have given, and is where we can compare your network results to the minimum requirements). Simply follow that page, as it may help as well!
