Matchmaking is Broken

Matchmaking seems to only work for short periods of time. If you contact their email support they will acknowledge the problem and as form of apology mail you physical product. At least they did for me.

Even still, the game has various other problems, for example, trying to see what's attacking you in a 4 player game filled with creatures within the time limit is no easy task.

overall the bugs and issues with matchmaking really are game breaking

Matchmaking is broken......

^ with you on that one - play the mode every now and then but only mode I find a match in since update = sux, I want my objective based games back.........

^^Plus ANY "adjustments" to matchmaking (helping others) is only gonna effect someone else in a negative manner. They have to find a happy medium. I think only BF3 can please EVERYBODY.

I dont have a problem seeing how Van's statements and Activisions's explaination can work just fine together, and the TA guy who comes here occasionally stated that skill was also a factor.

Sometimes I cant get in matches, and its always that 3rd step that it sticks on. I've only seen once or twice that its stuck on one of the first 2 steps. 99% of the time if I'm waiting on a search that 3rd step comes up with 0 of X many matches and never
goes past 0. It then appears to try to make me host and I'll sit there "waiting for other players" rather than "searching for matches". Thats usually during a high traffic time of day here and I expect a bad connection.

The whole skill bas though is the one that I question. "Broad" skill range must be extrememly broad. I check in dom mathces and I'm usually right in the middle with a 276 spm whre the rest of the room ranges from 170ish to sometimes in the high 500's.
I cant see many people having lower than 150 or higher than 600, so its like "broad" would include just about anyone. Same goes with other modes and other factors. All the matches I'm in seem to have a very wide range of spms, k/ds w/ls etc.

I guess if I look at it the other way, maybe that is the purpose. I never see alobby where everyone is at the same level. Maybe its that they try to give an even mix of skill rather than all similar skill levels.
