Matchmaking has been unavailable for hours.

So, earlier tonight, server-side functions like player profiles (emblem, color, rank, stats) were intermittently failing to load, or taking an exceedingly long time, timing out, et cetera. We were able to eventually search in matchmaking, but other players
appeared the same way (all wearing black 7th column emblems, black nameplate, no service tags, no ranks).

I've been trying to select "START MATCHMAKING" for hours, and I've gone through a gauntlet of troubleshooting steps with a support representative, but the conditions have not improved, for myself, nor my friends or other players. The flashing message "Playlist
data pending download" has been constantly displayed throughout.

The game is offline. If the problem cannot be resolved, at least post a service message so that players and support representatives do not waste time trying to troubleshoot their systems and network setups.

Service Alert 7/31/2014

I am having a problem with matchmaking. I keep trying to play gta 5 and it won't connect to live, every time I try it says live unavailable. Every time I power cycle my router and system it doesn't seem to help. I run my connection text and it says matchmaking
is down. Can anyone shed light? This has been going on for better part of a week.

 

Falsely accused/reported, suspended, gamertag changed by enforcement, overturned and lost gamertag?

This has happened to me too but my gamertag is still unavailable? they said it'd be available in 24 hours, it's been 30 somethin now
