Match Making made fair and COMPETITIVE suggestion.

The op forgets, "What happens if I in a clan/friends with players in various zones". In fact I am. Badger and I are in the same clan. So what would take priority in matchmaking? Clan/friends or zone?

Second the game creators would have to agree to zone matchmaking. I see some lag issues as the matches are set up due to the fact the game has to read gametag, check zone, enter zone into matchmaking filters, filter. Rinse and repeat.

Suggestion, the op creates a simple arcade game which uses zone filtering matchmaking.

Assuming your talking about the 360. You could always avoid players in other zones and prefer players in the zone your in. That should help being paired with like minded people youve played with before. Finding a clan is still probably your best bet.

It would be good but it is obsolete, they have scrapped that section on the one and it will never return, they could implement a 2 teir section on live but most likely wont work, the classifications on the xbox 360 profiles has never worked and never will.

Agreed your probably better off joining a clan or better yet you could start your own clan. You seem to want structure and strategic players a clan could be the thing you need. Game zones are just there and don't reflect who you get matched up with or against.

A lot of people play games for fun you should not forget about this.

Xbox LIVE is for everyone and to let us all play together not to separate each other.

If you want separation you should for sure find a clan.

Yeah I don't recall the gaming zone ever being used in such a way. I think it was always meant to just signify where one stands as a gamer. I would like to to be done, but I doubt it'll be implemented on the Xbox 360.

Thanks for your feedback Dreken. Everything you referred to about getting into match ups with gamers who have different views about what it takes to win and strategies, is what I am trying to address. To some, there doesn't seem to be a problem, but to
other people it is a problem that they want to address and see if there is a solution.

Personally, I think having the match making redone to match players up based on their gamer zone would benefit the players. As an underground player, I play to win. Now, when I get "teamed up" with recreational players, they are playing for fun. They don't
care if they win or lose, I do. I also understand bad match ups happen. But switching the match making system to include the gamer zone is a great idea. It would make the matches I play in that much better. Dogtagx2 excellent idea in my opinion.
