    I have my sons old xbox 360 but do not know the 4 digit pass code or answer to question. How can i get a master reset code so i can wipe the system and start again .? Any help is appreciated. I have reformatted the xbox but still cannot get into the initial
    setup.

    Formatting the HDD will not remove a parentlal code.



    Unless your friend knows the code, contact Support to reset it. Once reset and disabled, you can choose to run Initial Setup from System Settings for that "out of the box" experience...

    Hey there goody183. What you can do is format the hard drive. There is no such thing as actually a master reset. Just format the hard drive. Thanks! :)

    You will have to comtact support to be able to get a master reset code.

    They will ask you a few questions regarding the console.

    As we in the forums don not have access to the system.

    Just to add to IceStorm's comment, if you need to call about resetting the parental controls, be sure to write down your consoles serial number and console ID. They use these details to reset the parental settings. Just saves time really.
