Master Chief controller problem.

So, I bought a Limited edition Master Chief controller months ago, and a couple months later it got a dragging problem on the right analog stick. I kind of stopped using it, and only last month, I went to my retailer to get it repaired, which sent me here.
I got told I still had until february to get it repaired. So I just made an order, had to register my Xbox one first. The only problem is, it says my controller will get replaced by the same product, and it's a limited edition. So I was kinda afraid of getting
it sent all the way to the Czech republic for repairs, in case I got a clean black controller back. Is there anyone with experience on this matter who knows if this is true?
