Master Chief Collection shows up on PC library instead of Xbox

I've searched other posts and they don't seem to answer my specific question. I called Microsoft customer support, and they don't seem to know what to do either, so I will try here hoping someone from the Microsoft or Xbox can help me.

I purchased the Master Chief Collection on the Xbox store, but instead of showing up on my list owned games under my xbox game library, it shows up as a PC game on my PC xbox app. I've tried resetting the console, and nothing. The game description said that the game is optimized for Xbox series S|X, so I bought it thinking it would go to my xbox library, not my xbox PC library.

Is there any way to fix this? Can someone go to my account and just switch the game version so I can play it on xbox instead of PC? I own the game, have proof of purchase, and I am willing to provide any information or details necessary. The whole process is very misleading to be honest, I just want to play the game on my xbox, not a PC.

Sorry to hear about the issue. There's actually two versions of the game for PC & Xbox consoles:

I am afraid that it's not possible to switch those versions. You must request a refund instead to the Xbox team by filling out the refund form here https://support.xbox.com/forms/request-a-refund

If it's approved, you may purchase the correct version.

Since the library shows other games you did not purchase, I would recommend checking if you are using the correct account which contains Halo: The Master Chief Collection. However, please keep in mind that the Halo: The Master Chief Collection is currently available on Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One .

The Master Chief Collection is not a Play Anywhere title, so you would have to purchase the PC version in order to play it on the PC.
