Master Chief collection problem!

Hi. I own a digital version of MCC. I had gamepass as well, so obviously i put it back on my xbox one at some point with the ipdated version. Do you still have to purchase game pass or spend the $20 for ODST and Reach to male it playable? I thought it
was just an added benefit on the update regardless if you had Game Pass or not. It says its installed, but then when ibtry to play it from MCC it says its not actually imstalled and sends me to the store to pay for it! Tried installing both games after MCC
download, same result. Did delete and reinstall of entire thing repeatedly and same result. Trued clearing everything from storage and cloud for game as well. Still does the same. Shows it on the game lis in MCC and even on my hard drive, each says 10MB though
which makes no sense, but ckaims to be installed. I thought they were added free if you owned MCC prior to game pass. I dont want game pass nor do i understand why it says its not installed. Microsoft please explain. I do own the digital version of MCC though
prior to the updated version with ODST and Reach add ons. I have gold but i cancelled my gamepass as it didnt seem worth it. Like i said though i own MCC digital, and not when i had game pass.
