Master Chief Collection physical copy won't play because of the xbox game pass.

Sorry to hear you are running into these issues with the physical copy of the game.

Go ahead and try to
Remove your account and then Add it back to the Xbox one and give it another try. If this fails I would also advise trying to

Uninstall and
Reinstalling the game using the disc.

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling with the disc? Originally downloading the game through Xbox Gamepass and no longer having the subscription may be causing the issue.

Hi, I'd try all of the solutions listed above first, but I think there's a possibility this could be due to a rare licensing-related error- I know I had tried to help someone with a similar issue before, the only difference being that it was a digital
game, and the issue turned out to be license-related. If that does turn out to be the issue here, only an official Xbox Support rep can address this issue. Visit https://support.xbox.com/contact-us
and select 'Xbox One,' then 'See other options,' then find an option that gives you a chat or callback option (I believe 'Set up my Xbox One console') is one such option. Again, I'd try all the above solutions first, then try this if none of them work. Hope

It sounds to me as though your disc drive has not read the disc, hence why you get the message to renew game pass. try ejecting the disc, reinsert it, then wait 30 seconds for it to read the disc, then try starting the game again.
