Master Chief Collection: Halo Nightfall won't play.

Using the hard copy version of MCC, don't have a capture card, am using the same profile I installed with, and the uninstall/reinstall/hard reset trick didn't work. The Halo Channel app is worthless, it doesn't even work right when trying to watch terminal
videos from in the game - if the app is already open when I launch a terminal video it won't play it, or it continues to play the background music while the video is playing; I have to close the app from the XBox dashboard and then relaunch from the game.
The Nightfall videos are just one part of a larger problem - the Halo Channel is worthless. The entire XBox UI is junk. I was a big fan of the original XBox and the 360. But I don't play video games anymore, Halo is the only one I still play and is the
ONLY reason I upgraded to XBOne, and I'm beginning to regret that decision. Thank goodness there are...other means to watch Nightfall.

 

Have the hard copy of MCC since day one, installed nightfall code,halo channel, game, etc. I watched the first episode when it came out but ever since then for all the Nightfall episodes it says "buy halo".. I restarted my xbox, signed out and back in, uninstalled/reinstalled
halo channel, nightfall, and mcc, dont have a capture card, dont have any guests signed in or any of that BS and yes im using my account that i originally installed nightfall with and its STILL NOT WORKING!! And just when ithought halo mcc couldnt get any
more broken.. Good job MS and 343 for making a ****** game!

Sorry to hear that the issue with playing Nightfall is continuing to occur. If you haven't already, I recommend trying a few troubleshooting steps to see if we can get this issue sorted:

First, be sure to verify the following:

• If you have a capture card plugged into your Xbox One, please remove it because you will be unable to watch Halo Nightfall for DRM reasons.
  
• Make sure that there are no guests signed in to your Xbox One console.
• If you purchased a physical copy of Halo: The Master Chief Collection, please ensure that you're signed in as the profile who redeemed the Halo Nightfall 25 character code. If you purchased the game digitally, please ensure you're signed in with the account
  the game was purchased with.

If you are continuing to experience the issue after verifying the listed items above, please give the following steps a try:

• Navigate to My games & apps from the homepage of your Xbox One console.
• Select the Apps tab and then navigate to the Halo Channel app.
• Press the Menu button and select Manage app.
• Select Uninstall.
• Once the Halo Channel has uninstalled, remove your profile from your Xbox One console.
  
• Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds.
• Once your console is powered off, unplug the power cord.
• Wait 5 minutes and then plug in your console.
• Power on your console and Add your profile back on to your Xbox One console.
  
• Once you have added your profile, navigate to My games & apps.
• While in the apps tab, scroll to the right and select The Halo Channel under the section labeled READY TO INSTALL. Select Install.
  
• Once The Halo Channel app has installed, navigate to My Games & apps and select the Halo Channel.
  
• Under the Featured tab, select Play.

Tried all above steps.

I have hard copy. Code is redeemed. I can watch everything but Nightfall

Says to buy Nightfall

When clicked, says installed.

Sorry to hear about the issue! Have you ensured that you are signed in with the profile that originally redeemed the Nightfall code? Also, please make sure that you do not have any guests signed in and are not using a capture card when trying to view Nightfall.

I bought the hard copy of the game. After putting in the code for Nightfall I was allowed to watch the series once and ever since it only gives me the buy Nightfall button. I have the same issue as people with the downloaded version.

I've tried all the steps you've recommended and it's still telling me to "Buy Nightfall" when I try to watch it, even though I already have it installed. There is no one else signed into my console. I used my account when I redeemed it. I do not own a capture
card. Any other suggestions?

Sorry to hear that the issue is continuing to occur after trying the steps listed above. If you are still unable to view Nightfall, I recommend trying a few additional steps:

• From the Home screen, navigate to My Games & Apps.
• Under the Apps tab, select the Halo Channel and press the Menu button.
• Select Manage and check to see if Halo: Nightfall is under the the Ready to Install section.
  
• If Nightfall is under the section, select Nightfall and then select Install.
• If Nightfall is already showing as installed, select Nightfall and press the Menu button.
  
• Select Uninstall. Once Nightfall has been uninstalled, press and hold the power button for 10 seconds.
  
• Once your console has powered off, wait a few minutes and then power on your console.
  
• Navigate back to My Games & Apps and select the Halo Channel.
• Press the Menu button and select Manage App.
• Under the Ready to Install section select Nightfall and select Install.
• Once Nightfall has installed, launch the Halo Channel app.
• Select the Originals tab and the select Nightfall.
• Try viewing an episode to see if the issue continues to occur.
